The Union County Community Arts Council conducts an annual fund drive campaign for the arts in Union County. Board and community volunteers campaign all areas of the county for private support of the cultural arts. Your financial contributions sustain the following programs and services:
-
Arts- in -Education through the Union County Public School System. Over 38,500 students in 51 schools will be served in 2009-10.
-
Grants to support school and teachers projects and local arts organizations and talented artists
-
Community-wide cultural arts projects for residents throughout Union County
Please view our website for details of current and future cultural arts programs/services that benefit you and your family.
Through your generous financial contribution, you enhance Union County’s quality of life in many ways:
-
You make art accessible for youth through arts-based education. Children involved in the arts have index scores averaging 20 points higher on measures of creative thinking, fluency, originality and elaboration. Children involved in the arts are four times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement, three times more likely to be elected to class office within their schools and three times more likely to have higher school attendance.
-
You make Union County a better place to live and work by enhancing your own community excellence. Cultural events and services create a sense of kinship and you see that the arts are both educational and entertaining.
-
You see your dollars spent creatively and sensibly.
