The Union County Community Arts Council was founded in 1980 by a group of businessmen who believed the quality of life in Union County could be greatly enhanced by an arts organization whose primary purpose was to serve as cultural planner for the county.  Our mission is to serve the people of Union County by promoting the arts as an essential component of community life.  The Union County Community Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.


Goals include creating community-wide awareness by improving and enhancing quality of life in Union County.  Programs and services provided by the council have made a major contribution to the cultural growth of our county.


Programs and services extend to all populations in Union County and include:


  • Arts-in-education for over 38,500 Union County Public School students

  • Local government programs in surrounding municipalities

  • Programs for elderly and handicapped citizens

  • Summer programs in area daycare facilities

  • Public/private partnerships with area business to promote and support community

  • developmentPublic art events and exhibits to showcase local artists


The Union County Community Arts Council has consistently been recognized as one of the leading arts organizations in the state for efforts to partnership with local governments, the public schools, business and individuals in the promotion and cultivation of the arts.
