Juried Art Competition

The Union County Community Arts Council invites artists aged 18 and up to submit work for consideration to the Spring 2024 Juried Art Exhibition: Historic Union County.

Submitted artwork must be the the artist’s original creation in concept, creation, and execution. Artwork must have been completed within the last two (2) years. This is a juried show due to space limitations. There is no fee for entry, and no monetary prizes will be awarded. A “People’s Choice” ribbon will be awarded at the conclusion of the Downtown Monroe Art Walk on April 13, 2024.

• Thursday, April 4, 2024 – Entries Due By Noon
• Friday, April 5, 2024 – Artists notified of acceptance/regrets by 5:00pm
• Wednesday, April 10, 2024 – Accepted works must be delivered to UCCAC between 3:00-6:30pm
• Thursday, April 11, 2024 – Opening Reception @ UCCAC, 6:00-8:00pm
• Friday-Saturday, April 12-13, 2024 – Downtown Monroe Art Walk
• Friday, May 17, 2024 – Show Ends: pick up artwork between 3:00-6:30pm

This show is for 2D artwork and 3D artwork that can be hung on panels or our gallery wall system. 3D artwork requiring a pedestal or base will be rejected. Artwork must be family friendly.

Each entry is allowed three separate images showing detail or different angles of the work. Images of accepted works will be retained by the UCCAC. Digital images should not exceed 10MB. Physical art is limited to 36” in width, including the frame. Weight should be no more than 35 lbs. All artworks must be completely dry, securely framed or gallery wrapped, securely wired, and ready to hang (no clips, saw hangers, staples, string, or tape).
